# OCI

{% endhint %}

## Utility

Holders of `$OCI` tokens can participate in the platform's decision-making process by securely locking their tokens in designated OCI/XRD pools. In return, participants receive a unique [`$SPLASH`](/ociverse/tokens/splash.md) position that represents voting power. [Click here](https://docs.ociswap.com/ociverse/tokens/pages/7BtJqrdfmYn7t5PTdUQ5#splash-2.0) to learn more.&#x20;

## Supply

The total supply of `$OCI` is capped at 100 million fungible tokens. This number is fixed and cannot be altered, ensuring no additional tokens can be minted and none can be burned. For the circulating supply, see the [token page](https://ociswap.com/resource_rdx1t52pvtk5wfhltchwh3rkzls2x0r98fw9cjhpyrf3vsykhkuwrf7jg8/info).

### Allocation

<table><thead><tr><th>Allocation</th><th width="149">Percentage</th><th>Amount (OCI)</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Liquidity Incentives</td><td>60%</td><td>60,000,000 </td></tr><tr><td>Community Incentives</td><td>24%</td><td>24,000,000</td></tr><tr><td>Marketing and Development</td><td>6%</td><td>6,000,000</td></tr><tr><td>Founder Retention</td><td>10%</td><td>10,000,000</td></tr></tbody></table>

## Vesting schedule

The founder tokens will be vested, meaning they can't be accessed all at once. This is scheduled to take a couple of years and begins with a waiting period where the team gets no tokens. This waiting period is called a cliff, after which tokens gradually become available. This incremental release ensures that the team remains incentivized to contribute positively to the project over an extended duration.

## Emission curves

With a 60 million OCI allocation set aside for liquidity incentives, the emission of these tokens is closely tied to the rate at which oOCI is used to claim OCI. For a deeper understanding, refer to the [`oOCI`](/ociverse/tokens/ooci.md) [emission curve](/ociverse/tokens/ooci.md#emission-rate).
